Gender Representation: Male

Male rappers are mostly seen wearing expensive jewelry such as chains, watches, and earrings as seem in The Source magazine featuring Lil Baby. As wearing and having expensive items is shown to be more masculine. Men are perceived to be more superior than women. Many male rappers even find themselves in jail and their songs are used against them in court, as most male rappers rap about perverted things are things that are against the law in some ways. Their music can also influence young men to be the same as them and potential get into trouble with the law. This type of music is the new trend. Anywhere you go you are sure to hear a male rappers voice on a song rapping about something “non-family friendly”.
