Gender Representation: Female

Image result for women on the front of rap magazineIn Rap, female rappers are seen to be not as dominant as male rappers as girls are perceived weaker than men. When you see a female rapper you will most likely see them with a wig, their nails done, make-up done, and with expensive clothing. Most female rappers are seen as sex figures as most of them get plastic surgery and fillers to be “beautiful”. This in return influences young women to want to be like them and change their bodies so they can be “beautiful” as well. Female rappers mostly rap about perverted topics such as sex and curse words. Like male rappers, the things that female rappers rap about is also “non-family friendly”.
